POSITION SUMMARY

The Human Resources Generalist provides administrative support to the human resources department, including recruiting, employee/labor relations, compensation, benefits, training, equal employment opportunity, and/or employee records. The HR Generalist will keep employee records are up-to-date and confidential and act as the main point of contact for employees’ queries on HR-related topics. The goal is to ensure the HR department’s operations will be running smoothly and effectively to deliver maximum value to the organization as a whole.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Processes HR department applications, including employment and enrollment applications
  • Maintains attendance and employment records
  • Compiles statistics for various HR management reports.
  • Conducts pre-employment screening interviews, check references
  • Respond to routine questions on HR policy
  • Administering compensation and benefit plans
  • Assisting in talent acquisition and recruitment processes
  • Conducting employee onboarding and help plan training & development
  • Provide support to employees in various HR-related topics such as leaves and compensation and resolve any issues that may arise
  • Promote HR programs to create an efficient and conflict-free workplace
  • Assist in development and implementation of human resource policies
  • Undertake tasks around performance management
  • Gather and analyze data with useful HR metrics
  • Assist with organizing quarterly and annual employee performance reviews
  • Maintain employee files and records in electronic and paper form
  • Enhance job satisfaction by resolving issues promptly, applying new perks and benefits and organizing team building activities
  • Ensure compliance with labor regulations

EDUCATION

  • 1-3 years of related experience
  • Associates Degree
  • Proven experience as an HR Generalist
  • Understanding of general human resources policies and procedures
  • Good knowledge of employment/labor laws
  • Outstanding knowledge of MS Office; HRIS systems (Workday will be a plus)
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • Aptitude in problem-solving
  • Desire to work as a team with a results driven approach
  • Additional HR training or certifications will be a plus
  • Initiative; self-motivated (driven), self-starter.
  • Excellent communication and customer services skills.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, possesses teaching and coaching skills
  • Professional demeanor and positive, caring attitude.
  • Punctual attendance
  • Must be able to work independently and without supervision.
  • Ability to stand, squat, bend, stoop and comfortably lift up to 50 lbs. 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
  • Ability to pass a full background screening and drug screening.
  • Ability to travel, as needed, for projects.
