Site Superintendent – Electrical

An electrical site superintendent is responsible for overseeing and managing electrical projects at a construction site. Their primary role is to ensure that electrical installations are installed in accordance with plans, specifications, and regulations, and are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Job Duties

1. Supervising and coordinating the activities of electrical contractors, subcontractors, and workers.
2. Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and procedures.
3. Interpreting and implementing electrical plans and specifications.
4. Planning and scheduling the electrical installation work.
5. Coordinating with other site supervisors to ensure seamless integration of electrical work with other trades.
6. Managing the procurement of materials and equipment required for the electrical installation.
7. Conducting site inspections and quality control checks.
8. Identifying and resolving any issues or problems that may arise during the electrical installation.
9. Communicating with project stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, and inspectors.
10. Providing regular progress updates to project managers and other stakeholders.

Qualifications

The electrical site superintendent must possess strong leadership skills, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work well under pressure. They must have a thorough understanding of electrical systems, building codes, and safety regulations. They must also be able to read and interpret electrical plans and specifications. A degree in electrical engineering, construction management, or a related field is typically required, along with several years of relevant experience in the construction industry.
