Assistant Project Manager – Mechanical
The role of a Assistant Project Manager typically involves supporting the Mechanical Project Manager in overseeing and managing mechanical construction projects, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. The following are some of the specific job responsibilities and requirements for this role:
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist in managing mechanical construction projects from start to finish, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards
- Help develop project plans and schedules, and ensure that they are adhered to throughout the project lifecycle
- Work with the project team to ensure that all project deliverables are completed in a timely and efficient manner
- Assist in tracking project expenses and ensuring that they remain within budget
- Attend project meetings and provide updates on project progress
- Help coordinate and manage subcontractors, vendors, and other stakeholders involved in the project
- Assist in ensuring that all project-related documentation is properly maintained and stored
- Identify and help mitigate project risks and issues
- Assist in ensuring that all project-related safety requirements are met and adhered to
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Mechanical Project Manager
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
- Or you have at least 2-3 years of experience in construction project management, preferably in the mechanical discipline if
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Proficiency in project management software and tools
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Knowledge of mechanical systems, codes, and regulations
- Willingness to travel to project sites as required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
