Job Title: BIM Detailer (Mechanical Contractor)

Location: Houston, Texas

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a highly skilled BIM Detailer to join our team of mechanical contractors in Houston, Texas. As a BIM Detailer, you will be responsible for creating detailed Building Information Models (BIM) using software tools such as Revit and Navisworks. The ideal candidate will have experience working on HVAC systems and possess a deep understanding of the industry standards and best practices.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Collaborate with the engineering and construction team to produce detailed BIM models that accurately reflect the mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection.
• Perform clash detection analysis on the BIM models and resolve any issues to ensure constructability.
• Review and interpret design drawings, specifications, and other technical documents to develop accurate BIM models.
• Create and maintain schedules, material take-offs, and other project documents to ensure accurate project tracking.
• Assist in coordinating with other trades and subcontractors to integrate their work into the BIM models.
• Support the project team with the development of 3D models, construction documents, and other project-related tasks as needed.

REQUIREMENTS

• Associate’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent work experience.
• At least 2 years of experience working as a BIM Detailer in the mechanical contracting industry.
• Proficient in Revit and Navisworks software.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and their components.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with team members and clients.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
