Senior Accountant

Our client is a Mechanical Subcontractor seeking an experienced Staff Accountant to help with all aspects of the Accounting Department at their fast-growing Salt Lake office. 

The right candidate will be detail oriented, motivated, organized, professional, and a great communicator.  We would love the opportunity to discuss your skills and experience and see if they fit within our company, so apply today! This person will be involved in all areas of accounting:  A/R, A/P, Collections, Payroll, Service, Construction, and the General Ledger.  Strong leadership skills and adaptability are critical in this position. This position is full time salaried position and reports directly to the Vice President.  There is opportunity for growth within our company. Responsibilities:

• Performing and helping staff with day-to-day accounting functions
• Cost accounting and revenue recognition entries
• Cash management
• Sales tax reporting
• Some reporting functions with our Corporate office
• Monitoring for SOX compliance

Qualifications:

• At least 3 years applicable Accounting experience
• Advanced computer skills in MS Office- specifically Excel
• Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, and standards
• Construction Accounting knowledge a plus
• High attention to detail
• Ability to work with and lead a team.
• BS degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
