Job Title: HVAC/R Technician

Job Summary: The HVAC/R Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. They diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, perform regular maintenance to ensure optimal system performance, and provide excellent customer service.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Install HVAC/R systems: Set up and install new heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems according to manufacturer specifications and local codes.
• Perform maintenance: Conduct regular inspections and maintenance tasks on HVAC/R systems, including cleaning coils, lubricating parts, and replacing filters to ensure efficient operation.
• Diagnose and repair: Troubleshoot and identify malfunctions in HVAC/R systems, using diagnostic tools and techniques. Repair or replace defective components to restore proper system functionality.
• Conduct system testing: Perform tests on HVAC/R systems to verify performance, efficiency, and safety. Adjust controls, settings, and parameters as necessary.
• Provide technical support: Assist customers in understanding the operation and maintenance of their HVAC/R systems. Address their concerns, provide guidance, and offer recommendations for system improvements.

Qualifications and Skills:

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an HVAC/R technical training program is preferred.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., EPA 608 Universal Certification) are advantageous.
• Proven experience as an HVAC/R Technician or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems.
• Proficient in troubleshooting and repair techniques for HVAC/R equipment.
