Position Overview:

As a Sheetmetal Production Manager, your role will be to oversee and manage the sheetmetal manufacturing operations within a facility. You will be responsible for coordinating and optimizing production processes, ensuring the efficient use of resources, and meeting production targets while maintaining quality standards. Your focus will be on leading and supervising production teams, implementing process improvements, managing budgets, and driving continuous improvement in sheetmetal manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Production Planning and Coordination: Develop and execute production plans for sheetmetal manufacturing, including capacity assessment, production scheduling, and resource allocation. Coordinate with cross-functional teams, such as engineering, procurement, and logistics, to ensure smooth production processes and timely delivery of sheetmetal components.
• Team Leadership: Lead and manage production teams, including supervisors, operators, and technicians involved in sheetmetal manufacturing. Assign tasks, provide guidance and support, conduct regular performance evaluations, and foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork and collaboration.
• Process Optimization: Identify opportunities for process improvement, efficiency enhancement, and waste reduction within the sheetmetal manufacturing operations. Implement Lean manufacturing principles and tools to streamline processes, eliminate bottlenecks, and increase overall productivity.
• Quality Control: Implement and enforce quality control procedures to ensure the production of high-quality sheetmetal components that meet or exceed customer specifications. Monitor production activities, conduct inspections, and address any deviations or non-conformities promptly. Maintain accurate documentation of quality control processes and outcomes.
• Cost and Budget Management: Monitor production costs and budgets for sheetmetal manufacturing, identify cost-saving opportunities, and implement strategies to optimize resource utilization. Control production expenses and ensure adherence to budgetary constraints.
• Safety and Compliance: Implement and enforce safety protocols, regulations, and compliance requirements to ensure a safe working environment for all employees involved in sheetmetal manufacturing. Conduct regular safety inspections, identify potential hazards, and promote a culture of safety within the manufacturing operations.
• Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives in sheetmetal manufacturing operations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement, implement best practices, and promote a culture of innovation and operational excellence.
• Reporting and Communication: Prepare and present regular reports on production performance, key metrics, and operational efficiencies for sheetmetal manufacturing. Communicate effectively with stakeholders, provide progress updates, and address any issues or concerns related to sheetmetal production.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Proven experience in a production management role within the sheetmetal manufacturing industry.
• Strong knowledge of sheetmetal manufacturing processes, production planning, and quality control methodologies.
• Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Demonstrated experience in process optimization, cost control, and resource management within sheetmetal manufacturing.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and compliance requirements in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in using manufacturing software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet production targets within deadlines.
