Compliance Manager Job Description – Ensuring Seamless Construction Compliance

Are you an experienced Compliance Manager with a passion for ensuring regulatory adherence within the construction industry? We’re seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as a Compliance Manager. In this role, you will oversee subcontractor compliance, job setup, and prequalification, ensuring that our projects align with industry regulations and internal standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Job Setup and Compliance: Take charge of the meticulous setup of jobs, guaranteeing compliance with regulatory requirements and internal protocols.

  • Subcontractor Management: Efficiently manage subcontractor correspondence and compliance, fostering collaborative relationships while upholding necessary regulations.

  • Change Order Processing: Skillfully process change orders from subcontractors, maintaining accurate documentation and effective communication.

  • CIP Payroll Processing: Handle the monthly processing of Construction-in-Progress (CIP) payroll, ensuring accurate and timely execution.

  • New Job Processing: Lead the processing of new jobs, overseeing compliance-related aspects and contributing to seamless project initiation.

  • Collaboration with Project Managers: Work closely with Project Managers, Estimators, and Engineers, facilitating streamlined compliance procedures throughout projects.

  • Job Prequalification: Conduct thorough prequalification assessments for prospective projects, ensuring they align with necessary compliance prerequisites.

  • City License Registration: Manage the application process for all city license registrations, ensuring full legal compliance.

  • COI Requests and Follow-ups: Oversee the processing of Certificates of Insurance (COIs), tracking requests, and following up to maintain compliance.

  • CTC Meetings Participation: Attend CTC (Compliance, Training, and Certification) meetings, meticulously recording notes, recordings, and transcripts for comprehensive documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Preferred BS or BA degree.

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Contract Manager or Compliance Manager in the construction industry.

  • Collaborative Expertise: Proficiency in collaborating with Project Managers, Estimators, and Engineers.

  • Construction Acumen: Solid understanding of construction processes and regulatory requirements.

  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, enabling effective interaction with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Urgency and Responsiveness: Prompt and responsive approach to tasks, managing priorities with measured urgency.

  • Integrity and Quality: A commitment to upholding integrity and ensuring high-quality standards.

  • Positive Attitude: A positive and self-motivated mindset, contributing to a constructive team environment.

  • Pre-employment Screening: Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.
