Duties/Responsibilities:
- Installation of HVAC Control Systems:

- Install, calibrate, and configure HVAC control systems, including thermostats, sensors, actuators, and other related components.
- Collaborate with contractors and other technicians to integrate control systems into overall HVAC systems.
- Maintenance and Repairs:

- Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on HVAC control systems to identify and address potential issues.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot malfunctions in control systems, including electrical and electronic components.
- Replace or repair faulty components and ensure proper functioning of the entire HVAC system.
- Programming and Calibration:

- Program and configure HVAC control systems to meet the specific requirements of the building and ensure optimal performance.
- Calibrate sensors, controllers, and other devices to maintain accurate temperature and humidity levels.
- Documentation:

- Maintain accurate records of work performed, including installation details, maintenance activities, and repairs.
- Generate reports on system performance and make recommendations for improvements.
- Customer Interaction:

- Communicate with clients to understand their HVAC control system needs and address any concerns.
- Provide guidance and training to building owners and operators on the use and maintenance of HVAC control systems.
- Compliance and Safety:
-
- Ensure that all work complies with relevant codes, regulations, and safety standards.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in HVAC control technology.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical education or certification in HVAC systems is a plus.
- Proven experience as an HVAC Control Technician or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, controls, and related equipment.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and schematics.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with relevant codes and regulations.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment.
- Comfortable working in varying environmental conditions.
- Flexibility to work outside regular business hours for emergencies or scheduled maintenance.
