What You Will Be Doing

As the Service Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and optimizing service operations, ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction, and maximizing the performance of HVAC and building controls systems. This position requires a dynamic leader with a strong background in HVAC service management, a commitment to safety, and the ability to drive both team and individual success.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership and Team Management:

  • Lead and inspire a team of HVAC technicians, providing direction, mentorship, and support.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative team culture that prioritizes safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations, set goals, and provide ongoing training to enhance the skills of the service team.

Operational Oversight:

  • Evaluate and implement safety measures to ensure compliance with industry regulations and company standards.
  • Oversee the day-to-day performance of the service team, taking accountability for profit and loss.
  • Review service reports, ensuring quality workmanship, and providing constructive feedback for continuous improvement.

Customer Engagement:

  • Interact with clients to understand their needs, contribute to portfolio growth, and address inquiries and special requests.
  • Collaborate with the sales and customer service teams to maintain and strengthen client relationships.

Resource Planning and Coordination:

  • Work closely with the scheduling team to efficiently plan and dispatch HVAC technicians, optimizing service delivery.
  • Proactively anticipate challenges related to on-site installations and repairs, coordinating necessary resources for successful execution.

Data Utilization and Reporting:

  • Utilize the company’s operating system to extract and analyze data for reports, financial performance, forecasting, and presentations.
  • Provide cost reviews for quotes on equipment repairs or replacements at customer locations.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Proven experience in commercial HVAC service management.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of HVAC systems and building controls.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
  • Commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.
  • Flexibility to work occasional overtime and weekends.
  • High School Diploma.
