Job Title: QC/Electrical Installation Inspector – High Point, NC

Overview
Inspects electrical equipment and systems installations for compliance. Conducts various quality control functionsincluding inspections, testing and monitoring of processes to ensure the highest level of quality of all products. Compiles reports regarding deviations from prescribed quality standards. Verifies received equipment, conductstests and evaluates final products. Responsible for rejecting and identifying items that do not meet engineeringspecifications or established quality standards. Uses various types of precision tools and equipment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Inspect Electrical equipment and systems installations to ensure compliance to codes, specs, quality standardsand customer requirements.
- Verify product is manufactured per EAS and industry standards, and project documents, including specificationsand drawings.
- Perform equipment verification per approved submittal
- Verify all product tests have been properly executed
- Verify test reports have been properly and accurately completed, utilizing good documentation practices (GDP)
- Audit units and ensure quality checks, records and travelers are completed
- Perform inspections of all units / assemblies
- Coordinate with Project Manager concerning requirements of customer’s Factory Acceptance Test
- Perform or assist with vibration analysis and dynamic trim balancing on fans (if vibration analysis-certified)
- Performs welding inspections throughout production (if CWI- or NDT Level II-certified)
- Verify construction against fabrication drawings, P&IDs, submittals and specifications
- Coordinate with Production Designers to assist in resolving any identified issues during production
- Ensure all project documentation is completed, gathered and properly filed in the project documentation folder
- Performs other Manager-identified activities
Education / Experience
- A minimum of an A.S. in Business Administration or other qualifying experience
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in commercial electrical installation
- Knowledge of commercial electrical codes and generally-accepted electrical industry standards
- This position will be supported by on-the-job training and continued education training
- Minimum five years’ experience in this industry or a related field will be considered in lieu of formal education as determined by management
Job Requirements
- Good documentation and communication (written and oral) skills
- Personal computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, BlueBeam Revu, Gmail, Cloud-based server use)
- Good understanding of product design and operation
- Good understanding of manufacturing processes
- Ability to demonstrate leadership skills, coaching, and problem solving
- Willingness to accept every challenge to meet product specifications and client requirements Ability to handle and complete multiple tasks at once
- Skilled in plant safety and construction requirements
