Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Commercial Preconstruction Estimator to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the initial project planning phase, providing accurate and comprehensive estimates for commercial construction projects. Responsibilities:

• Cost Estimation: Collaborate with project teams to analyze project specifications, blueprints, and other documentation to prepare accurate cost estimates for commercial construction projects.
• Bid Proposal Development: Prepare detailed and competitive bid proposals, considering material costs, labor, equipment, and overhead, ensuring alignment with project objectives and client requirements.
• Value Engineering: Identify cost-saving opportunities through value engineering principles without compromising project quality or functionality.
• Vendor and Subcontractor Relations: Build and maintain relationships with vendors and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotes and ensure the availability of necessary resources.
• Risk Assessment: Evaluate potential risks and uncertainties associated with project costs, providing recommendations to mitigate and manage these risks effectively.
• Market Research: Stay informed about industry trends, material costs, and market conditions to maintain competitiveness and enhance the accuracy of cost estimates.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Proven experience as a Commercial Preconstruction Estimator in the construction industry.
• Proficiency in construction estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Knowledge of local building codes and regulations.
