Accounts Payable Manager

Location: High Point, NC

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounts Payable (AP) Manager to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing AP processes for large-scale companies and possess strong leadership abilities to oversee a team of direct reports. This role will be pivotal in  optimizing our ERP system, driving digitalization initiatives within the AP function, as well as T&E automation.


  • Manage the end-to-end AP process, including invoice processing, 3-way matching, and vendor payments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Lead a team of 7 full-time and 3 part-time direct reports, providing guidance, coaching, and performance evaluations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline AP workflows and enhance efficiency.
  • Oversee optimization of ERP system, including developing a roadmap, coordinating testing, and training team members.
  • Drive digitalization efforts within the AP function, leveraging technology to automate processes and improve productivity.
  • Maintain strong vendor relationships, resolving issues and negotiating favorable terms.
  • Develop and enforce AP policies and procedures to ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Generate regular reports and analysis to track AP performance metrics and identify areas for improvement


  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounts payable management, preferably in a large-scale organization with revenues of $350M-$500M+.
  • Strong understanding of AP fundamentals, including 3-way matching and vendor payment processes.
  • Proven leadership skills with experience managing a team of direct reports.
  • Experience with ERP systems, including developing a roadmap and facilitating change management.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive digitalization initiatives and leverage technology to optimize AP processes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
