Looking for a seasoned Start-up and Commissioning Manager with a strong background in mechanical construction to join our innovative team. As a Start-up and Commissioning Manager, you’ll be instrumental in ensuring the seamless deployment and functionality of mechanical systems in our projects. This role demands a meticulous approach to guaranteeing quality standards are met and clients are satisfied with the handover process.


Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning and Coordination:

  • Develop detailed start-up and commissioning plans in line with project deadlines.
  • Collaborate closely with project stakeholders to integrate commissioning seamlessly into project schedules.

System Verification and Testing:

  • Lead verification and testing of mechanical systems, including HVAC and plumbing.
  • Execute test procedures to ensure systems operate efficiently and meet design specs.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues identified during testing.

Client Interaction and Handover:

  • Act as the primary client liaison during start-up, providing updates and addressing queries.
  • Conduct client training sessions for system operation upon project completion.

Team Leadership and Management:

  • Manage a team of start-up and commissioning technicians, providing guidance and support.
  • Cultivate a collaborative work environment focused on safety and quality.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate records of start-up activities, including test results and inspection reports.
  • Generate comprehensive commissioning reports outlining project progress and recommendations.



  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Startup and Commissioning of projects ranging in size and scope from $25M+ preferred.
  • 10+ years’ experience on commercial mechanical or plumbing construction projects including healthcare, medical gas, educational, institutional, manufacturing, and others required Extensive knowledge of mechanical systems and construction practices.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software.
