What You Will Do:
- Manage equipment, material, and subcontractor estimates
- Handle purchasing and release of non-commodity items
- Oversee submittal, operations, maintenance, and closeout processes
- Negotiate and price all change orders
- Develop initial project schedules
- Submit RFIs and review responses for scope impact
- Provide project information to Construction Manager, job Superintendent, Fabrication Division, and Start-up Supervisor
- Collaborate with the Virtual Construction Department for detailing information
What We Are Looking For:
- Hands-on project management experience in commercial, heavy industrial, mission critical construction projects
- Experience managing projects lasting a year or more
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (preferably Mechanical), Building Construction, or Construction Engineering Management
- Strong analysis, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
- Proficiency with technology, including Microsoft Excel and project management software
- Knowledge of business and management principles in strategic planning, accounting, cost forecasting, and resource coordination
- Ability to deal diplomatically with internal and external customers (owners, GCs, subcontractors, engineers, superintendents, draftsmen)
- Knowledge of construction equipment and techniques, drawings, specifications, building materials, engineering standards, and codes
