We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Facility Specialist to oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of our facilities. The Facility Specialist will ensure the safety, maintenance, and cleanliness of our buildings and grounds, coordinating with various departments to support our organizational needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine inspections and ensure the maintenance of facilities, including HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical, and other critical systems.
  • Schedule and oversee regular maintenance and repairs, coordinating with external vendors and service providers as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, conducting regular safety audits and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
  • Manage facility-related budgets, tracking expenses, and preparing reports on facility operations and costs.
  • Develop and implement facility policies and procedures to ensure efficient operations.
  • Respond to facility-related emergencies and manage crisis situations effectively.
  • Maintain accurate records of facility operations, maintenance activities, and safety inspections.
  • Coordinate space management and office layout planning, ensuring optimal use of available space.
  • Oversee the cleaning and landscaping services to maintain a clean and presentable environment.
  • Assist in planning and executing facility-related projects, including renovations and upgrades.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in Facility Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Facility Specialist, Facility Manager, or in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of building systems, maintenance procedures, and safety regulations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and facility management software.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse team.
  • Attention to detail and a proactive approach to facility management.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy objects and perform physical tasks as needed.

Working Conditions

  • Full-time position with the possibility of on-call duties for emergencies.
  • Work may involve some physical activity, including lifting and moving equipment.
  • Occasional travel between different facilities may be required.
