Position Overview:

Our client is seeking an accomplished and dynamic Executive Vice President (EVP) to join their executive team. Reporting directly to the President, the EVP will be responsible for the oversight of different departments and their outcomes. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in either electrical or mechanical disciplines, with proven experience in P&L management exceeding $25M.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Provide visionary leadership across multiple departments, ensuring alignment with company goals and driving operational excellence.
  • P&L Oversight: Manage profit and loss for divisions under your purview, with a focus on exceeding financial targets and maintaining fiscal responsibility.
  • Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Foster strong working relationships between departments to enhance operational efficiency and support the company’s strategic objectives.
  • Business Development: Partner with the President to identify and pursue new business opportunities, contributing to the overall growth and success of the company.
  • Talent Development: Mentor and develop department leaders, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years in a senior leadership role within the MEP contracting industry, with direct experience in managing electrical or mechanical divisions.
  • P&L Management: Demonstrated success in managing P&L responsibilities exceeding $25M.
  • Technical Background: Previous hands-on experience in the electrical or mechanical field, with a completed apprenticeship or equivalent training highly preferred.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead diverse teams, make strategic decisions, and drive performance across multiple departments. Ensures optimal performance, customer satisfaction and continued growth.
  • Communication: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with all levels of the organization.
