Lead HVAC Technician
Location: Greer, SC

Responsibilities

• Service, maintain, and repair DX equipment, commercial rooftop units, heat pumps, air handling equipment, and heating systems up to 150 tons.
• Perform diagnostics, repair, and system start-ups.
• Maintain customer communication, providing job status updates and checking in at the end of the day.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and clean condenser coils, ducts, and fan belts.
• Install and maintain HVAC wiring, components, and refrigerants.
• Troubleshoot major malfunctions, repair components, and maintain HVAC systems and parts.
• Review blueprints, schematics, and manuals for system adjustments.
• Manage HVAC system schedules and equipment, including water treatment readings.
• Oversee helpers, maintain work records, and track work orders using CAFM software.
• Adjust systems via Building Automation System (BAS).
• Perform emergency after-hours work as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED, trade school preferred.
• Universal Refrigerant Card (Type I or Universal).
• Minimum 10 years of commercial HVAC experience.
• Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including on-call emergency service.
• Strong communication, initiative, and customer service skills.
• Must follow safety rules and maintain tools and equipment per company policy.
