Ops/Service Manager

Location: Columbus, OH

Position Summary: The Service Manager oversees the performance, safety, and development of HVAC service teams, ensuring the maintenance, repair, retrofit, or replacement of HVAC systems. This role is also responsible for managing financial performance, staff training, and fostering customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and mentor HVAC field technicians, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency in service delivery.
• Manage team performance, including hiring, training, and setting KPIs; resolve internal/external issues.
• Oversee job scheduling, invoicing, and resource allocation with the back-office support team.
• Direct customer interaction, answering questions and facilitating decision-making.
• Monitor profitability, identify issues, and implement improvements to meet financial goals.
• Lead equipment repairs, diagnose issues, and manage manpower, tools, and resources efficiently.
• Conduct performance reviews and ensure adherence to company policies and safety standards.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of HVAC operation leadership experience.
• Proven leadership with 15+ direct reports.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, electronics, and building controls.
• Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in HVAC or related field preferred.
• Valid HVAC licenses preferred.
• Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Additional Requirements:

• Ability to travel for projects or training.
• Pass background check, drug screening, and physical ability test.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HVAC diagnostics.

Compensation:

• Base Salary: $100,000 – $125,000 annually, commensurate with experience.

• Annual Bonus: 10-25K based on performance, with total annual compensation ranging from $110,000 to $150,000.
