As a Senior Sales Estimator, you will play a critical role in developing accurate cost estimates, analyzing project requirements, and supporting sales efforts to secure high-value mechanical construction projects. Your extensive industry knowledge and ability to assess complex project scopes will ensure successful bidding and collaboration with clients and internal teams.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare comprehensive and accurate cost estimates for large-scale mechanical construction projects, including HVAC, plumbing, and piping systems.
  • Review project plans, specifications, and other documentation to determine project scope and requirements.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for estimate preparation.
  • Develop detailed take-offs, budgets, and proposals in alignment with company standards and client expectations.
  • Utilize estimating software and tools effectively to ensure precision and efficiency.
  • Provide technical insights and recommendations to clients and internal stakeholders regarding project feasibility and value engineering options.
  • Lead pre-bid meetings, site visits, and client discussions to clarify project requirements.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, material costs, labor rates, and market conditions.
  • Ensure timely submission of estimates and proposals while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of estimating experience in the mechanical construction industry, specifically for large-scale commercial, industrial, or institutional projects.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems, including HVAC, piping, and plumbing, as well as codes and regulations.
  • Proficiency in Estimating Software, e.g., Trimble, AutoCAD, Procore] and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent ability to analyze blueprints, specifications, and project data to create precise cost estimates.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to liaise effectively with clients, vendors, and team members.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred. Equivalent experience considered.
