Job Title: Traveling Assistant Superintendent – Data Center & MEP Experience

Location: Southeast United States (Travel Required)

Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Traveling Assistant Superintendent with extensive experience in data center construction and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) systems. This role requires a proactive, solution-driven professional to assist in overseeing the construction and installation of complex systems at various data center sites across the Southeast United States. The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of experience in the construction industry, specifically with MEP systems and data centers, and be willing to travel to project sites as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Superintendent in the day-to-day management of construction projects, with a focus on data center construction and MEP systems.
• Coordinate on-site activities, ensuring that work progresses according to schedule, within budget, and to the specified quality standards.
• Supervise subcontractors, vendors, and on-site personnel to ensure effective communication and seamless operations.
• Support the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of MEP systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection) for data center environments.
• Monitor and enforce project safety standards, ensuring compliance with regulations and best practices.
• Assist with the coordination and management of site logistics, including scheduling, resource allocation, and quality control.
• Review plans, specifications, and drawings to ensure accurate execution of MEP systems installation.
• Ensure that all necessary documentation is completed and submitted in a timely manner, including daily reports, material tracking, and inspections.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues on-site, working collaboratively with the team to implement solutions quickly and efficiently.
• Provide regular progress updates to the project management team, highlighting any potential issues or delays.
• Travel to various project sites in the Southeast United States as required to assist in the management of construction activities.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in construction, with at least 3 years focused on data center projects and MEP systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.).
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, including data center construction and MEP systems.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
• Proven experience supervising teams and managing subcontractors and vendors on-site.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to address issues quickly and effectively.
• Familiarity with industry safety standards, regulations, and best practices.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to travel to multiple sites across the Southeast U.S.

Additional Skills (Preferred):

• Experience with project management software and tools.
• OSHA certifications and other relevant safety certifications.
• Familiarity with data center operations, commissioning, and systems integration.
