Safety Manager

Location: Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill

Job Type: Full-Time

Join my client’s team as a Safety Manager and lead our efforts to ensure a safe and compliant work environment for all.

Key Responsibilities:

New Employee Onboarding and Training:

  • Conduct safety orientation for new
  • Perform first aid training, driving classes, and equipment operation training as
  • Ensure all employees have the necessary credentials and know how to access and present them.
  • Provide guidance to Safety Coordinators in their roles and
  • Assist Safety Coordinators in addressing onsite issues and improving collaboration with trade partners, general contractors, superintendents, project managers, and other

Incident Management and Reporting:

  • Conduct thorough accident and incident
  • Prepare detailed accident reports and recommend measures to prevent
  • Administer occupational injury programs and manage workers’ compensation

Compliance and Regulations:

  • Stay updated on OSHA regulations and ensure company
  • Enforce company policies, safety standards, and health
  • Assemble safety documentation for jobsite compliance, including site-specific plans and

Safety Program Enhancement:

  • Investigate new strategies to advance the company’s safety
  • Develop policies and ergonomic risk assessments to minimize employee
  • Recognition programs and campaigns to celebrate safety
  • Organize and manage safety pledges to promote team

Site Inspections and Hazard Management:

  • Observe work in progress to ensure proper use of safety equipment and adherence to
  • Identify and mitigate hazards through detailed ergonomic risk
  • Make proactive suggestions to improve job site

Documentation and Communication:

  • Maintain an up-to-date safety matrix to track employee credentials and
  • Ensure all sites are equipped with required postings, first aid supplies, PPE, and
  • Keep supervisors informed of developing situations and progress on safety

Employee Support and Education:

  • Address employee safety concerns and implement corrective
  • Provide safety training through classroom lectures, demos, and hands-on
  • Administer effective hazard control and industrial hygiene

Reporting and Analysis:

  • Prepare narrative reports to document safety activities and
  • Analyze hazards, evaluate risks, and recommend corrective
  • Review accidents to identify trends and develop preventive

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety, Environmental Science, or a related field preferred (not required).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a safety management
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety best
  • Experience in incident investigation, training delivery, and hazard
  • Excellent organizational and communication
  • Proficiency in safety management software and Microsoft Office/Google
