Fixed Center Technical Specialist
Comfort Systems USA (Remote)

Position Summary:

We are seeking an individual to provide HVACR, electrical, and plumbing support to our technicians out in the field at all our operating companies in the United States. The role of the Fix Center Technical Specialist is to assist our technicians in problem resolution and drive fixes first time by responding to their needs when they reach out via phone, text, or email.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist technicians with the troubleshooting and resolution process
  • Effectively communicate with field employees. Receive inbound calls, text or emails and distribute support and intellectual property knowledge to the field employees
  • Create and drive adaptation and utilization in the field by responding to needs and adapting the process and platform
  • Assist with the development and implementation of methodologies to improve service levels and overall operation efficiency
  • Experience with split systems, package systems, mini-split, VRV and VRF systems, boilers, refrigeration, controls, hydronics
  • Perform other related duties or special projects, as assigned

Education, Training, Licenses and/or Certifications:

  • 10 + years of experience in HVAC field
  • Working knowledge of a variety of operating systems and platforms
  • Accredited HVAC/Mechanical trade school
  • Ability to multitask and manage changing priorities, resourcefulness, and strong problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills with a focus on meeting needs and expectations within time-sensitive settings

  • Maintain a positive, cooperative, and teachable attitude
  • Initiative; self-motivated (driven), self-starter.
  • Requires basic mechanical aptitude, mathematical and English language skills.
  • Complies and promotes company Safety Policy
  • Regular and punctual attendance. Ability to work overtime if needed (and approved)
  • Ability to pass a full background screening and drug screening
  • Ability to travel, as needed, for projects
