HVAC Sales Representative

What You Will Be Doing (Consultative Selling:
- Identify, qualify, and close new service-contract opportunities (preventive maintenance, repairs, system upgrades) with commercial clients (office buildings, retail centers, healthcare facilities, industrial complexes).
- Conduct on-site and virtual consultations to assess clients’ current HVAC systems, understand operational pain points, and propose tailored solutions that maximize equipment uptime and energy efficiency.
- Develop and execute a targeted territory plan for Tacoma and South Puget Sound, including prospecting lists, cold calls, networking events, and industry trade shows.
- Leverage your existing network of property managers, facility engineers, and general contractors to generate referrals and secure new accounts.
- Manage full sales cycle from lead generation and proposal development to contract negotiation and closing.
- Prepare and present formal proposals, scopes of work, and service-agreement terms.
- Maintain accurate CRM records—track lead status, proposal history, and forecast revenue. Provide weekly sales reports and pipeline updates to the Sales Manager.
- Partner closely with Service Dispatch, Project Management, and Operations to ensure quoted services are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
- Gather client feedback to refine service packages, identify cross-sell/up-sell opportunities, and enhance overall customer experience.
- Stay current on industry trends, equipment technologies, and competitive offerings; attend manufacturer training as needed.
The Ideal Candidate
- Minimum of 3–5 years of proven commercial HVAC service sales experience (selling preventive maintenance agreements, service contracts, retrofit jobs, etc.).
- Track record of consistently meeting or exceeding revenue targets and closing complex service deals.
- Strong consultative-selling approach, with an ability to ask probing questions, identify client pain points, and craft solutions that deliver measurable ROI.
- Proficiency with CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
