Mechanical Project Manager (Travel)
Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and driven Traveling Mechanical Project Manager to lead industrial mechanical construction projects across various locations. This role is ideal for a results-oriented professional with a strong background in HVAC and plumbing systems who thrives in a dynamic, travel-based role. The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of project delivery, including planning, execution, budgeting, and client relations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end execution of mechanical projects, ensuring scope, budget, and schedule adherence.
- Supervise field teams and subcontractors across multiple job sites.
- Coordinate material procurement, equipment logistics, and subcontractor scheduling.
- Conduct project kickoff meetings and maintain regular site visits throughout project lifecycle.
- Monitor quality standards, safety compliance, and project progress.
- Interface with clients, consultants, and internal teams to ensure alignment and satisfaction.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation including RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
- Assist in project closeout and punch list completion.
Qualifications:
- 5 – 10 years of project management experience in commercial or industrial mechanical construction
- Proven ability to lead field operations and manage multiple, geographically dispersed projects.
- Experience & knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, mechanical systems and equipment installation processes.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, specifications, and project schedules.
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to travel up to 75% of the time across various U.S. locations.
