Their Corporate BIM Team drives virtual design & construction (VDC) excellence, implements BIM tools, and provides on-site and remote BIM training for field and design teams.
Position Overview
The Corporate BIM Team Member supports national operating companies by driving BIM implementation, developing efficient workflow processes, and solving complex digital construction challenges. As a self-motivated problem-solver and forward thinker, you’ll collaborate with Corporate BIM colleagues and field teams to meet key VDC deadlines and objectives. Your expertise will ensure the organization remains a leader in MEP BIM, prefabrication, and overall construction innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- BIM Training & Development: Create and deliver in-person and virtual training for Revit MEP, Navisworks clash detection, and custom BIM plug-ins.
- Electrical BIM Expertise: Develop and maintain electrical families, data‐linking standards, and Dynamo scripts; support C# plug-in development.
- Clash Detection & Coordination: Facilitate automated QA/QC through clash detection, model coordination, and prefab workflow integration.
- Standards & Library Management: Build and manage a centralized BIM content library (families, templates, data standards).
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with Corporate and branch BIM Managers, Project Engineers, and Field Superintendents to drive consistent BIM implementation.
- Innovation & Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization, automation, and new digital construction tools.
Qualifications
- 5–10 years of electrical construction experience with 5+ years in BIM/VDC roles
- Expert in Revit MEP, Navisworks, BIM360/ACC, and clash detection processes
- Proficient with Dynamo scripting, C# development, and Power BI reporting
- Strong knowledge of MEP prefabrication, digital fabrication, and virtual construction workflows
- Excellent presenter and BIM trainer, comfortable creating training materials and facilitating workshops
- Self-starter, adept at remote collaboration and frequent travel to support branch offices
