Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Project Procurement Lead to oversee procurement activities across various engineering and construction projects. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring timely, cost-effective purchasing aligned with project goals and client expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the end-to-end procurement process for assigned projects, from planning to closeout
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and vendors to ensure materials and services meet specifications and deadlines
- Develop and manage project specific procurement strategies to support cost control and schedule adherence
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to ensure best value
- Monitor supplier performance, delivery timelines, and compliance with contract terms
- Ensure procurement documentation is maintained in alignment with internal standards and project requirements
- Identify and mitigate procurement risks
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts in procurement processes and vendor management
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field preferred
- 5+ years of experience in project based procurement, preferably in industrial or manufacturing environments
- Strong understanding of construction or fabrication supply chains
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and vendors in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and organizational skills
- Familiarity with ERP systems and procurement software
