Construction Recruiter (AEC, MEP or EPC)

This position is hybrid with an anticipated 80% remote 20% in the market working with clients.

Description:

We are currently seeking a Construction Recruiter with experience in the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC), Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP), or Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) industries. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing, screening, and hiring qualified candidates for various construction clients across the organizations portfolio.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain a network of construction professionals to ensure a pool of qualified candidates
  • Contribute to the development of recruitment strategies to attract and retain quality candidates
  • Review and screen resumes to identify potential candidates
  • Conduct phone and in-person interviews with candidates to evaluate their qualifications and suitability for specific positions
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to define job requirements and qualifications
  • Provide guidance to hiring managers on interviewing techniques, job descriptions and offer negotiations
  • Maintain accurate and detailed candidate files in the applicant tracking system
  • Serve as a liaison between candidates and hiring managers throughout the recruitment process
  • Participate in career fairs, industry events and campus recruitment initiatives to promote the company brand and target specific demographics
  • Coordinate and manage the onboarding process for new employees

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience as a recruiter in the construction industry with a focus on AEC, MEP and/or EPC recruiting on more senior roles such as PM.
  • Understanding of the construction lifecycle and the key roles and responsibilities of various professionals involved in the process
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with clients and candidates
  • Experience using applicant tracking systems and proficiency with Microsoft Office and LinkedIn Recruiter
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team
  • Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
