Key Responsibilities
- Read blueprints/layouts; install piping, valves, fittings, and fixtures
- Diagnose and fix leaks, clogs, and faulty fixtures; perform preventive maintenance
- Follow local, state, and national plumbing codes at all times
- Coordinate with supervisors, trades, and warehouse for materials and scheduling
- Complete daily timesheets, material logs, and as-built documentation
Qualifications
- Valid Michigan Journeyman Plumber license
- 3–5 years’ commercial/industrial plumbing experience
- Proficient with copper, PVC/CPVC, cast iron, and soldering/brazing
- Knowledge of backflow assemblies, grease traps, and commercial water heaters
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., work in confined spaces, and climb ladders
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills
Working Conditions
- Field-based work throughout Grand Rapids and nearby areas
- Occasional work in wet, confined, or elevated settings
- Must pass drug screening and background check; adhere to safety policies
