Position Summary:

We are actively seeking a Start-Up Turnover Coordinator to support system completions, commissioning, and project turnover for high-profile industrial and EPC construction projects. Under the guidance of the Project Manager, this role is crucial in coordinating system turnover activities, ensuring that all systems are completed, tested, documented, and delivered to clients per project scope and timeline.

This is a hands-on role ideal for candidates with strong technical knowledge, project coordination experience, and a solid understanding of mechanical systems and turnover documentation.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, manage, and maintain system turnover packages (TOPs) from construction through commissioning to client handover.
  • Mark-up and interpret P&IDs, defining system boundaries and scope.
  • Lead and document punch list walkdowns with Construction, QA/QC, Client, and Commissioning teams.
  • Track and coordinate punch list resolution through to system acceptance.
  • Collaborate with Construction QA/QC to ensure documentation aligns with quality standards.
  • Support mechanical testing of systems and allocate test equipment as needed.
  • Review turnover packages with the Commissioning Manager and ensure client requirements are met.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly turnover progress reports.
  • Ensure compliance with client, company, and industry turnover and commissioning standards.
  • Work extended hours to meet project deadlines as required.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
  • 5–10 years of experience supporting project management in industrial, mechanical, or EPC construction projects.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Pro, and scheduling tools (MS Project or Primavera).
  • Strong working knowledge of system turnover processes, mechanical systems, QA/QC procedures, and commissioning activities.
  • Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced environments, with the ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Willing and able to climb ladders/scaffolding and wear fall protection PPE as required.
  • U.S. work authorization required. Pre-employment background check and drug screening mandatory.


Preferred Skills:

  • EPC project experience.
  • Mechanical or technical field background.
  • Familiarity with document control and turnover tracking systems.
  • Ability to maintain and track test equipment usage.
