Ultrasonic Testing (UT) Operator- High Point, NC

We are seeking an ASNT Ultrasonic Tester to perform nondestructive testing and ensure weld quality meets industry, project, and client specifications. This role supports quality assurance efforts across welded mechanical components in a controlled shop environment.

Responsibilities:

• Perform ultrasonic weld inspections per ASNT Level II standards.
• Identify defects such as porosity, cracks, or lack of fusion.
• Analyze results, maintain proper documentation, and ensure compliance with specifications.
• Verify tests meet project and quality requirements.
• Calibrate and maintain NDT equipment.
• Support junior inspectors with training and mentorship.
• Review and organize test reports and quality documentation.

Qualifications:

• 2 years or more of previous experience operating a Sonowave UT machine
• Previous experience with weld piping and structural welding
• Excellent documentation and communication skills (written and verbal)
