Building Automation Service Specialist – HVAC Professional
Location: Grand Rapids, MI

In this role, you will utilize your HVAC expertise to perform diagnostics, preventive maintenance, repairs, installations, and commissioning of state-of-the-art building automation control systems. Under moderate supervision, you will ensure high customer satisfaction and lead others in maintaining efficient HVAC control systems.

Key Responsibilities:
- Adhere to Control Logic and customer safety standards, promoting workplace safety awareness.
- Engage regularly with customers to ensure outstanding satisfaction, identifying opportunities for system enhancements, upgrades, and repairs.
- Build sustainable relationships and trust with customer accounts through open and interactive communication.
- Conduct system maintenance, including controllers, servers, workstations, and field hardware.
- Collaborate with the customer’s HVAC mechanical service provider for equipment diagnostics.
- Troubleshoot HVAC control systems, providing solutions and leading others in problem resolution.
- Complete all job-required documentation on time, ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Ability to climb ladders or use other lift equipment in excess of 8 feet above grade and capable of lifting items up to 50 lbs.
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 5+ years of experience in building automation controls, HVAC service, or electrical troubleshooting and wiring
- Experience with Microsoft Suite
- Valid and current driver’s license, insurable by the company’s insurance carrier
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and communicate proficiently with customers
- Successful completion of background check and drug screening
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate degree, or technical school in HVAC
- Field experience and understanding of DDC Building Automation Systems, and integration experience (BACnet, Modbus, Lon). Automated Logic software and hardware experience a plus
- Knowledge of TCP/IP networks and troubleshooting
- Ability to read and understand architectural, mechanical, and electrical blueprints
- Background in HVAC mechanical equipment operation and control sequences
