Position: Assistant Construction Superintendent
Location: Richmond, VA
Job Summary:
As an Assistant Construction Superintendent, you will manage day-to-day operations at construction sites and ensure project schedules are maintained. Your leadership skills and experience in construction subcontractor management, cost monitoring, scheduling, and problem-solving will be critical to project success.

Responsibilities:
- Ensure strict adherence to all Company safety rules, regulations, and policies.
- Supervise, direct, and coordinate trade workers and subcontractors.
- Interpret blueprints, specifications, and job orders.
- Oversee field installation using Shop and Spool Drawings.
- Inspect work for conformance with specifications.
- Enforce predictive reporting, 5X5 audits, and pretask plans.
- Schedule material and equipment deliveries in line with project timelines.
- Attend project meetings and complete daily reports.
- Teach and guide teammates to ensure safety and productivity.
- Provide recommendations on hires, transfers, promotions, and discipline.
Qualifications:
- Mechanical, administrative, and analytical skills.
- Journeyman-level experience in HVAC, plumbing, or construction management.
- Supervisory experience required.
- Extensive knowledge of International Building Codes, HVAC, and plumbing systems.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Proficiency with technology: laptops, tablets, smartphones, Microsoft Teams, Procore, BIM.
- Ability to read project documents in English.
