 BIM Designer

Location: Dallas,  TX

We are hiring an in-person HVAC/PLUMBING Designer that will be responsible for the design and coordination of mechanical ductwork and plumbing systems. This role requires a strong
understanding of mechanical principles, Plumbing Code and the 
knowledge to complex commercial projects

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and work efficiently and in accordance with plans and specifications,
and fabrication standards; advise the respective Project Manager asconflicts occur
• Document and provide marked-up submittals to Project Manager showing any modifications, or discrepancies related to inline duct and piping devices.
• Monitor and report to the respective Project Manager when coordination and detailing require work not indicated on the contract drawings.
• Attend job meetings as requested by the Project Manager
• Generate full coordination drawings and provide all necessary paperwork to complete the task.
• Provide clear, dimensional, and accurate drawings.
• Visit job sites as necessary to complete work assignments.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

• Ability to read and understand contract drawings, specs, and submittals.
• Ability to coordinate and perform multiple activities in a timely manner
• Ability to deal diplomatically and effectively with internal and external customers
• Ability to maintain a sense of urgency, but remain calm when handling emergencies
• Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday. Occasional evening and weekend work
may be required as duties demand. Unscheduled overtime may be required, as necessary
• Possess field experience as a construction sheet metal mechanic or sheet metal foreman or License Plumbing.

Working Conditions

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit for long periods of time; talk or hear; perform fine motor, hand, and finger skills in the use of a keyboard, telephone, or writing. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk; and
reach with arms and/or hands. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. The employee will spend their time in an office environment with a quiet to moderate noise level. Job site walking.
